Rant below.


The past couple of days have been a rollercoaster of emotions. You can guess in regards to what. The first reaction was disbelief. Then came rage. Blind, blood-shot rage. Then I read this by the wise darlong which is so so right. And I started to calm down. Peace, serenity, calmness.

Then the conservatives on my flist started telling the libs to calm down, remember that we're all Americans, unity, blah blah. This riled me up again, for whatever reason. I really don't feel unified with people who think that a class of people (or even a single person) should be denied equal rights because of consenting adult behavior which doesn't affect anybody else. I don't feel unified with people who think religion should be used to govern.

maystone wrote this which I completely agree with. One of these days I'm gonna write down my political and philosophical manifestos (which are of course deeply linked). Just for myself, if nothing else. But mays has really said it all.
